Mad Ape Creature Reacher Costume – Don't Make Him Angry, You Won't Like Him When He's Angry !

The Mad Ape Creature Reacher Costume is a monster costume out of the realm of King Kong. Maybe he's mad because he's been chained up for too long or maybe you have stolen his girl, Ann Darrow.

More on the Mad Ape Creature Reacher Costume

Like other creature reacher costumes, there are three parts to the costume. The oversized mask and hand/arms and the outfit that fits around these two parts.

The mask is the creature aspect of the costume, like other such costumes, it features a realistic looking monster, in this case a King Kong like Ape with a snarling, menacing grimace on his face. The mask is made from a latex rubber and completely surrounds the head. It has the fake gorilla like coarse, black fur over the top of the head and around the sides.

The facial features are set in a gray colored, realistic looking “skin”. He has a deeply furrowed brow to indicate anger and menace. In fact the brow is so deep and thick set that it almost covers the eyes. He has a typical gorilla like profile with the distinctive Mandibular prognathism, where the lower part of the jaw (Mandible)  protrudes out over the top half (Maxilla).

This contrasts with how we see human faces and gives him the typical ape like appearance. He has some particularly large lower incisors poking out from his mouth to make him look more fearsome.   

The reacher aspect of the costume is the long, oversized arms that fit onto your own hands and arms. You can control these long arms and brutish hands by moving your own hands. This gives you extra reach and you can fool around with people by grabbing them with your big monster hands.

Unlike many other creature reacher costumes, the rest of the outfit has to match the arms/hands and mask. The rest of the outfit is the mad apes black fur, with a leopard print covering. Not sure why he is wearing this leopard print unless it was some kind of trophy that he won off of Tarzan or maybe he is being humanized by Ann Darrow.

All in all, this is a fun costume that will get hoots of laughter from everyone that sees it.
